Imaging with Local Speckle Intensity Correlations: Theory and Practice

چکیده

Recent advances in computational imaging have significantly expanded our ability to image through scattering layers such as biological tissues by exploiting the auto-correlation properties of captured speckle intensity patterns. However, most experimental demonstrations this capability focus on far-field setting, where obscured light sources are very far from layer. By contrast, medical applications fluorescent operate near-field inside We provide a theoretical and study similarities differences between two settings, highlighting increased challenges posed setting. then draw insights analysis develop new algorithm for that is tailored setting taking advantage unique patterns formed under their local support. present advantages perform real experiments both configurations, showing an order-of magnitude expansion range density can be recovered.

Local Termination: theory and practice

The characterisation of termination using well-founded monotone algebras has been a milestone on the way to automated termination techniques, of which we have seen an extensive development over the past years. Both the semantic characterisation and most known termination methods are concerned with global termination, uniformly of all the terms of a term rewriting system (TRS). In this paper we ...

Dynamic Speckle Correlations

Longand infinit range correlations C2 and C3 in the optical speckle pattern represent one of the most interesting phenomena in multiple scattering of light. Despite the strong scattering these correlations survive the averaging process of light diffusion and are even enhanced with increased randomness. In this article we are going to discuss the microscopic origin of these particular correlatio...

Simultaneous measurement of water flow velocity with fluorescent and speckle imaging technique

The average velocity of water flow has been simultaneously measured with fluorescent and speckle imaging methods. The measured velocities with two methods are in good agreement with each other and it confirms that the speckle imaging method can be used as a confident method to measure the velocity of water flow in a dry leaf. Also the velocity of water flow through thick and thin xylems of a le...

Intensity speckle MR elastography

Introduction: Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) allows the measurement of the mechanical properties of living tissue by combining shear waves and motion sensitive MRI [1]. In classical MRE, shear wave images are evaluated using an appropriate wave inversion technique for calculating an estimate of the spatial distribution of the shear modulus within the region of interest [2]. Problem: Wave...

Electron Correlations in Local Effective Potential Theory

Local effective potential theory, both stationary-state and time-dependent, constitutes the mapping from a system of electrons in an external field to one of the noninteracting fermions possessing the same basic variable such as the density, thereby enabling the determination of the energy and other properties of the electronic system. This paper is a description via Quantal Density Functional ...
